January Reading Wrap Up

The Midnight Library
This was my first read of 2021, chosen intentionally, and it did not disappoint. Such an uplifting tale about about one woman’s desire to end her life.
A 5 star read for me.
The Loch Ness Papers
Number 4 in the Scottish Bookshop Mystery series, this is a book that did not end up not end up on the blog. This is the current Cozy Mystery series I’m reading. When 2020 started to really show it’s true colors, I quickly realized I needed something light-hearted and atmospheric before bed, so I dove headfirst into the world of Cozy Mysteries and it accomplishes exactly what I need I to, painting a beautifully cozy and comfortable atmosphere that is generally pretty light right before I fall asleep.
The Imposter
My first NetGalley book, I found this book pretty difficult to get through. Not my most favorite.
Moonflower Murders
Book two in a series, this is a classic whodunnit book within a book. I really enjoyed this lengthy but quick paced read.
The Lost Village
A quick, engaging read about an entire mining village that disappears and one woman’s desire to uncover the truth.
The Push
The most gut wrenching book I read in January, I found myself needing physical distance from this story. It left such an impression on me.
A 5 star read for me.
Legendborn
A thrilling YA novel about lineage and how our ancestors can shape who are you and what you become.
A 5 star read for me.
